Junru Chen is currently studying Theatre Arts Design at Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London. He also studied Film Art at the Communication University of China. He has several specialised skills to better his design work. His goal is to become a good stage designer.

As a designer who has studied both production design and theatre design. He has comprehensive skills and is able to develop new design styles by combining his own unique ideas. His style of work emphasises the balance of colour tones.

From 2021 to 2022, He worked with several directors and produced several short films, which won awards such as the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Award, the Prague Youth Film Award, and the New York Film Week.

Interned at stage designer Leslie Travers' studio in 2023 and stayed there as a design assistant.

He is currently researching theatre and environmental issues, exploring the coexistence of ecocriticism and theatre-making, and hopes to design stages that are environmentally friendly at the same time.

Junru is honoured to work with top international leaders in theatre and film as well as the art world. He is always excited when projects allow him to meet new people and travel to new places.
